Handcrafted with No Fillers

We are proud that each and every rub/seasoning is handcrafted and individually hand signed with the family member that blended and packed the bottle.

In addition, we add a best before date on each bottle. You may wonder why is there is a best before date when most spices last 1-2 years. The reason is humidity. Because we don't add fillers or anti-caking agents, there is a possibility that humidity could cause some clumping. But that is ok. Simply give the bottle a shake before use, or even store in the fridge and you are set. Don't forget to avoid seasoning your food with the bottle over the heat source as steam can enter the bottle and cause clumping.

Recipes To Try

Finer Details for Rubs

Backyard BBQ

Flavour Profile: Backyard BBQ: Earthy, salted coffee notes with a touch of sweet heat.

How to use: Sprinkle an even coat over your produce before cooking. Avoid seasoning your food whilst cooking as the humidity can enter the bottle and cause clumping. If this is required, place a small amount in your hand and sprinkle to your hearts content.

Weight/QTY: 295gm. Each bottle will season approximately 25 steaks

Ingredients: Kosher Salt, Espresso, Raw Sugar and Spices

Storage: Keep in a dry cool place away from humidity. If clumping occurs, breaks up with a fork and store in the fridge.

Chicken & Chips

Flavour Profile: Cheesy, salty, smokey, herbaceous and a kiss of peppery lemon myrtle.

How to use: Primarily used on poultry such as chicken, duck, turkey, quail, chips; yet somehow amazeballs on everything else. Apply a generous coat on your chose protein or veg. For chips or fries we have found the best method to season them is to place them in a large bowl, season the chips then toss them like you would a salad.

Weight/QTY: 250gm

Ingredients: Such things as Cheese Powder, Garlic, Hickory Smoke, Lemon Myrtle, Allspice.

Storage: Keep in a dry cool place away from humidity. Freshness seal will separate once screw top is removed.

If clumping starts to occur due to humidity, break up seasoning with a fork, then place in the fridge.

HealthIER

Flavour Profile: Cheesy, nutty, smokey and a kiss of peppery lemon.

How to use: Sprinkle an even coat over your produce before cooking. Avoid seasoning your food whilst cooking as the humidity can enter the bottle and cause clumping. If this is required, place a small amount in your hand and sprinkle to your heart's content.

Weight/QTY: 195gm. Each bottle will season approximately 25-30 chicken breasts.

Ingredients: Lemon Salt, Spices, Smoked Paprika, Garlic Powder

Storage: Keep in a dry cool place away from humidity. Best stored in the fridge

Macon' Bacon Cure

Flavour Profile: Macon' Bacon Cure: Sweet, Salty, Bacony (yes that's now a word), smokey and a kiss of Maple Syrup.

How to use: **ensure your hands and prep area has been thoroughly cleaned**

1) Apply an even coat of Macon' Bacon to all sides of your protein. This will be 38g of Macon’ Bacon per kg of meat.

2) Vac seal the belly or place in a zip lock bag and refrigerate for 7 days. During this time you should flip once per day to ensure even penetration of the cure

3) After the 7 days has elapsed you should remove from the fridge and wash off the cure under low pressure cold water then pat dry.

3.5) Place on a wire rack with a tray underneath within in your fridge for 24 hours (optional step). This will help  develop pellicle which is the darker pink colour you often see in bacon.

4) Smoke at 250F/121C for approximately 2-3 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 150F/66C. Then you can store in a container for up 10 days or vac seal to extend the longevity

5) When you are ready to eat (probably straight away!) slice as thick as you want and pan fry, grill or however you enjoy your bacon.

Weight/QTY: 270gm. Each bottle will cure approximately 6-8kg of bacon, or

Weight/QTY (Tub): 1620gm. Each tub will cure approximately 42-54kg of bacon.

Ingredients: Maple Sugar, Raw Sugar, Kosher Salt, Prague Salt and Spices

Storage: Keep in a dry cool place away from humidity. Freshness seal will separate once screw top is removed.

The ultimate Aussie barbecue shirt has landed...

I introduce the AUSSIEQUEY barbecue shirt.

MK1 Edition

MK2 Coat of Arms Edition

One of the LARGEST prints you will find on a shirt!!

I was not here to eff spiders with this shirt. I chose an Aussie printer and requested maximum vibrance and colour in the printing process. I don't think I have seen as much colour and vibrancy in a barbecue shirt since the infamous Barbecuey Bluey BBQ shirt from Sigh13.

A few fun facts about the shirt:

  • breakdown of AUSSIEQUEY: Aussie has been my nickname since age 11, Q is short for barbecue, Quey is my nickname for my last job in the Army
  • Australian national flag as the full colour for the AUSSIEQ BBQ logo to show my love for the country and link to my service
  • elements in the artwork are from things I love or support
  • Moey’s butcher is in the esky as he is my local and a top C
  • little fella is wearing my CARRY ON cap and is saying “stay outta yourself” to show my passion and mate-ship Cam and Tom on the AlphaBlokes Podcast
  • as above for “win in a tin” on Aussie the Kanga’s beer can
  • inspired by the legend Sigh13 artwork
  • spit roasting text is from my AUSSIEQ BBQ CTC hat
  • Bunnos has copped a flogging from me over the years!
  • cooking snags with onion ls on top is as above
  • I would say that mum passed out on the floor with a wine represents Mrs Q but she would kill me 😂

What is the differences between MK1 and MK2 versions?

  • AUSSIEQUEY logo font above Bunnos store (Bunnos is an Aussie nickname for Bunnings)
  • The text 'SPIT ROASTING IS BETTER WITH A MATE' on the spit baby is now in uppercase
  • The Peppa Pig tattoo on Aussie the Kanga is now outlined
  • The blue esky (chilly bin for my Kiwi mates) now as the text "BANG IT IN" which means to go hard or push hard
  • Jimmy the Emu is on the right side. He is equipped with Pit Viper sunnies, beer can bandolier and flanno shirt.
  • The kangaroo on the left and emu on the right pays homage to the Australian Coat of Arms.

Shirt Specs:

• 100% cotton
• Mid-weight, (180 g/m²)
• Regular fit
• Ribbed crew neck
• Side seamed
• Double-needle stitched hems
• Shoulder-to-shoulder taping
• Pre-shrunk for extra durability
